Let's start from the beginning. When Carter first came home, Aubrey wanted to hold him a lot. She was very interested in his eyes...
Thankfully, she was also very into giving him hugs and snuggles.
One of the things these cute siblings like to do is lay on the floor together. Carter loves the attention, and Aubrey enjoys doting on him.
In the mornings, Aubrey always wants to go see Carter first thing. The three of us often lie in my bed together just talking, playing, singing, and snuggling. It's the best.
One time, Aubrey actually climbed into the crib with Carter. We've obviously discouraged that practice, but it sure was cute when she did it...
Aubrey has really been a great helper with Carter. She goes to get things for me, helps him to feel better when he's sad, gives him his pacifier when it falls out, and even helps feed him.
She has also been known to read to him.
In general, they just seem to enjoy one other, which is sweet.
Now, don't get me wrong... it's not all snuggles and sunshine. Aubrey definitely has her moments of jealousy and has been known to be rather violent sometimes. She kicks, hits, scratches, and pinches her poor baby brother. It's almost never in anger; it's often to get a reaction from me (ugh, two-year-olds). But those aren't the kind of moments I like to capture on film, so we're sticking with the positives today. :)
Anyway, I look forward to the day when Carter can play with Aubrey more. And considering he almost weighs as much as she does now, he'll also be able to knock her on her butt when she tries to bully him, haha.
For now, though, it's Aubrey's show. So she gets to do things like this:
